Backlasher's Bass Club of Texarkana (AR/TX) USA is Texarkana's ONLY Christian Bass Club. We are a non-denominational bass club of Christian brothers and sisters who devote Sundays to family and church of our choices.
We always fish the first Saturday of each month, year round. Tournament years begin April 1st and conclude March 1st wih the Club Classic, normally around March 15 each year.
Texarkana is a dual city, with both Arkansas and Texas fishermen joined together. WE fish Arkansas and Texas lakes, usually within 100 miles or so of Texarkana USA. We begin and conclude each of our meetings with prayer.
We meet on the Monday night which precedes the first Saturday of each month. Sometimes this is the last Monday of a month, other months it is the first Monday of the month.
We host a charitable tournament each year in the Fall, a benefit tournament for Watersprings Ranch children in Texarkana, AR. This is a home for abandoned, abused or neglected children which receives no Government susidized monies and operates strictly on donations from individuals and private or public companies. They have homes on a beautiful campus that the have built and house parents who volunteer to live there and raise the children, keep them in school, and them them to the church of their choice each Sunday. A very worthwhile organization, for which we have been able to raise over $65,000 over the past 7 years through various sponsors and doing this benefit tournament and we accept no monetary gains for doing so.
